200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training

Merging ancient wisdom with modern science.  

Our 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training provides the foundational knowledge and skills for students to feel confident in their ability to teach safely and effectively beginners, hatha, vinyasa flow, power classes to students of all ages, levels and abilities.

As we believe that the most effective way to learn and understand the practice of Yoga is through direct experience, this training will have a strong focus on practice. Each day will begin and end with a 1.5 – 2 hour practice and there will be multiple opportunities to practice teach. Our supportive community of teachers will help you apply what you’ve learned and you will receive feedback to help you refine your teaching skills and help you feel at ease in front of a class.

Course Content:


  • Daily Yoga practice 
  • A deep exploration of the teaching techniques of the beginner and intermediate level asanas
  • Fundamentals of Posture
  • Introduction to Sanskrit names 
  • Introduction to Basic Pranayama (breathing techniques) 
  • Introduction to Meditation Techniques and Application 


  • Class structure and pose sequencing 
  • Discussion on teaching and instruction styles
  • Building your studentship (Finding Your Teaching Voice)
  • Practice of hands on adjustments and verbal instruction skills
  • Introduction to the Business of Yoga
  • Introduction to the Psychology of Yoga and Yoga Teaching


  • Introduction to Structural Anatomy 
  • Key Muscle Groups and Fascial Meridians
  • Understanding how to modify for common injuries
  • Energetic Anatomy: Bandhas, nadis, chakras, koshas and vayus
  • All taught in the context of how it is relevant to your yoga practice and teaching


  • Introduction to the history of Yoga
  • Study and discussion of The Yoga Sutras and the 8-limbed path, The Yoga Pradipika and the Bhagavad Gita
  • Teaching ethics  


  • Practice teaching
  • Giving and receiving feedback
